Cindy Haxel Acupuncture and Golden Well Being Collective are in the house that was moved off the Colorado School of Mines Campus in 2014. What a crazy venture that was! The mega movers did an amazing job and got it across town and settled in it's new home in about 5 hours (well, the story is a bit more exciting and complicated than that...we'll have to tell you sometime!). We couldn't be happier in our new "forever home" with the bunnies in the back yard, plenty of free parking and still just a couple blocks from the bustle of downtown Golden!
Cindy has been treating the local Golden community since 2007. She was first introduced to acupuncture in 1993 when she tried it to get off nicorette gum (after, a 5 year process of quitting with the gum). Then she rediscovered it for her PMS. After years of being recommended anti-depressants, hormones, "planning your life around it", and “learning to live with it”, she decided to give acupuncture a shot…what could it hurt? Two cycles later Cindy knew her life would be forever changed. Ten years after that she would decide to take the leap and study the medicine.
In 2007, Cindy received her Master of Science from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver and has been trained in acupuncture, herbs, moxibustion, cupping, nutritional therapy, tui na (Chinese massage) and electrical stimulation.
Cindy is also the owner of Golden Well Being Yoga and Golden Well Being Collective - a comprehensive wellness center providing acupuncture, massage, psychotherapy, nutritional counseling, reiki, feng shui consultations and yoga therapy.
